The Lyon Township Public Library Board of Trustees is an elected board of six members. They meet at 7 p.m. on the last Tuesday of every month in the W.K. Smith Community Center adjacent to the library. The public is welcome to attend.

LTPL Strategic Plan

In 2007, a successful dedicated operating millage was passed (without a bond to build a new facility) to improve collections, technology and services and to increase professional staff and hours. Once all of the promises made by the millage campaign plans were met and with the addition of an extensive interior and exterior renovation of the existing facility in 2009-2010 it was determined by the Library Director and the Library Board of Trustees that a formal strategic plan was necessary to effectively plan and execute plans of service and to examine what the library wanted to be in the near future and how we were going to achieve those goals.
