The Friends of the Library is a non-profit group whose purpose is to support the Lyon township Public Library through volunteerism, fund-raising activities, and sponsorship of programs and services. Your membership offers you the opportunity to share thoughts, donate your time, or lend your talents. Many membership levels are available, starting at just $5 for students and seniors!

Information about joining the Friends of the Lyon Township Library is also available by calling or visiting the library.
1.To maintain an association of persons interested in books and libraries.
2.To assist in promoting knowledge of and participation in library needs.
3.To aid in providing funds to meet special library needs.
4.To support, supplement and cooperate with the library in developing services and facilities for the community.
5.To stimulate the gift of books, magazines, periodicals, desirable collections, endowments and bequests.
6.To provide a channel for individuals and organizations to express ideas and make suggestions for library use and service.
7.To do all things possible to promote and foster the betterment of library services to the community.
8.To sponsor programs designed to add to the cultural life of the community.
9.To help ensure the continued existence of the Friends of the Library.
